Potato, Ham & Cheese Casserole

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 cups milk
- 4 cups ham, chopped
- 5 cups potatoes, finely sliced
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 onion, chopped
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350.
- 2 melt butter in saucepan.
- 3 add flour and pepper and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- 4 remove from heat; stir in milk; return to heat and cook, stirring often, until thick.
- 5 in very large bowl, mix remaining ingredients with sauce.
- 6 bake in covered casserole dish(es) 60-90 minutes, or until potatoes are tender, removing cover after first 30 minutes of bake time.
- 7 let cool 15 minutes before serving.
