Lower Fat Cheese Fries

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 cups potatoes, cut for french fries
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 grease 9x13 pan.
  • 2 rinse potatoes in collander under running water and pat dry.
  • 3 arrange potatoes in pan so they don't touch each other.
  • 4 pour milk over potatoes.
  • 5 divide butter into several small pieces and dot evenly over potatoes.
  • 6 sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • 7 cover with foil and bake at 425f for 25 minutes.
  • 8 remove and add cheese evenly.
  • 9 cover and return to oven for 5 more minutes.
  • 10 garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
