Smoked Cheddar Scalloped Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hr 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 large potatoes, medium-thin sliced
  • 1/2 cup smoked cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons onions, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 blanch potato slices in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • 3 drain and rinse with cold water.
  • 4 spray a two-quart casserole with oil.
  • 5 make a layer of 1/2 of the potatoes.
  • 6 top with the cheese, onion, and flour.
  • 7 top with the rest of the potatoes.
  • 8 season.
  • 9 slightly heat the milk and pour over the casserole.
  • 10 cover and bake for 50 minutes.
  • 11 uncover and bake for 20 minutes longer (or until lightly brown).
  • 12 serve warm.
