Mark's Clam Chowder

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans minced clams
  • 2 cups potatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 quart half-and-half

Recipe

  • 1 put veggies in pot.
  • 2 drain clam juice into veggie pot.
  • 3 add water to cover.
  • 4 boil until tender.
  • 5 make sauce with remaining ingredients.
  • 6 melt butter.
  • 7 stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
  • 8 cook for 3 or 4 minutes.
  • 9 add half and half, stirring continuously until thick.
  • 10 add clams and veggies to sauce.
  • 11 heat through.
