Eleanor's Garlic Cream Potatoes

Total Time: 1 hr 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 lbs baking potatoes, peeled
  • 1 1/2 cups light cream
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 slice potatoes 1/8" thick.
  • 2 layer in 1 1/2 quart baking dish, 2" deep.
  • 3 heat cream with garlic, salt and pepper.
  • 4 pour hot cream over potatoes.
  • 5 cream should come to the top layer but not cover it.
  • 6 dot with butter.
  • 7 bake at 300°, until potatoes are tender and cream absorbed,.
  • 8 at least one hour.
  • 9 serves 6.
