Ingredients
- 4 lbs golden potatoes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons chives
Recipe
- 1 peel the potatoes, then put into a large pot, add the bay leaf, 2 tablespoons salt, and cover with cold water.
- 2 bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
- 3 drain them well and remove the bay leaf.
