Ingredients

- 2 lbs pole beans
- 2 lbs small new potatoes
- 1 smoked ham hock, about 1/2 pound
- 1/3 cup water
Recipe
- 1 string the beans.
- 2 peel the potatoes or cut them in half.
- 3 put the beans in the bottom of a heavy saucepan.
- 4 add the potatoes, ham hock, and water.
- 5 simmer, covered, until the potatoes are done, about 30 to 45 minutes.
