Potato, Ham & Cheese Casserole

Total Time: 2 hrs Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 cups ham, chopped
  • 5 cups potatoes, finely sliced
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 melt butter in saucepan.
  • 3 add flour and pepper and cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • 4 remove from heat; stir in milk; return to heat and cook, stirring often, until thick.
  • 5 in very large bowl, mix remaining ingredients with sauce.
  • 6 bake in covered casserole dish(es) 60-90 minutes, or until potatoes are tender, removing cover after first 30 minutes of bake time.
  • 7 let cool 15 minutes before serving.
