The Easiest Latkes

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 large potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 2 -3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 pinch salt

Recipe

  • 1 peel the pototoes and put them through the food processor, avoid overprocessing they should still have some texture. in the bowl combine processed pototoes, egg, flour and salt.
  • 2 fry in the hot pan with plenty of vegetable oil. put a tbls of dough in the pan and flatten in to ab. 1/4", turn and fry the other side, it will give you very crunchy latkes.
  • 3 serve fresh or keep in the oven for a while.
  • 4 they can be served in many ways: my husband likes them just with sugar, they good with sour cream and sugar, i like them with creamed cheese mixed with sour cream, green onion and salt. they can be served with gulash as well (in poland they called hungarien latkes).
  • 5 enjoy.
